Mountain BikingWhat   Adventure Racing is a teamwork challenge that combines Mountain Biking, Trail Running and a revolving discipline.  For our race, the third discipline will be Canoeing. The team must complete each section of the course together and must cross the finish line as a team, challenging them to work together and stay together!

The exact order, distance and route of the events is not revealed until the day of the race. Whether you're a hardened veteran or a first-time adventure racer, everyone is on the same playing field, enhancing the atmosphere of camaraderie and sportsmanship.

The course of each Adventure Race is truly unique and suited to the specific terrain of the area. The 2003 Flying Frog Adventure Race includes a 5-10 mile Mountain Bike course, 5-10 mile Trail Run and a 2-5 mile Canoe course. Canoe/KayakingThere will be lots of basic navigation throughout and special challenges that will be secret until the racers actually approach the challenge. The course is gentle enough to be finished by the novice racer, while challenging enough for the experienced adventure racer. This race is scheduled to last 3-6 hours. The course will give you lots of gradual inclines while revealing some of the most scenic views of Lake Brandt.
